Quicksilver Harmonicas

"Music should be healing; music should uplift the soul; music should inspire." -Hazrat Inayat Khan

Quicksilver Harmonicas believes in maximizing the emotional impact of the harmonica.  This is done by challenging the status quo and not accepting the perceived limitations of the diatonic harmonica.  Regardless of musical tastes, the mission is the same for all of us. We want to communicate our emotions through music from the inside out...without our instruments getting in the way. By creating well-designed harmonicas that are extremely pleasing and easy to play, Quicksilver helps you unlock the music that is in your heart and soul.

By using proven methods through years of study with some of the world's best customizers, research, practice, and experimenting, each Quicksilver harmonica is modded to optimize bending and deliver consistent and fast response. While specializing in custom Golden Melody harmonicas for contemporary harmonica players, Quicksilver offers three different levels of customization using Hohner's most popular models, creating options for players of all types. Whether you're a blues purist, hard rocker, or virtuoso jazz player, Quicksilver will make sure you are ready for action and able to take your playing to the next level! From Level 1, which offers exceptional value and playability for a wide range of styles, to Level 3 which offers players the ability to unlock all of their potential, Quicksilver has a harp for your needs!

History

I have spent countless hours researching and studying harmonica customization through all the available avenues I can find. My journey started in 2003 when I took up harmonica and studied with Clint Hoover. Clint taught me overblows almost immediately and gave me my first lessons on how to tweak harps. Barely a year later, I met Chris Michalek and then spent the next seven years learning how to play and work on harmonicas with him as my mentor. Throughout that time I also searched all over the harmonica community for resources to further my craft. Recently, I have been blessed to have met Dick Sjoeberg. We became fast friends and he has been mentoring me in not only reed work, but also how to modify the comb and coverplates of the harmonica to maximize the instrument. His techniques and innovations are truly inspiring!

The techniques I use are a culmination of years of study and continuous improvement. These harps are not knock-offs or clones of any other builder's work. They are independent builds influenced by the work of many and my own experience.

These harmonicas are built to help players make the most of their technique in order to maximize their playing potential. This includes special attention to overbends.

If you find anything unsatisfactory about the harmonica, contact me within 30 days of delivery, and I will make adjustments free of charge. Repairs will be free of charge within one year. Any modifications made by purchaser to the harmonica void this support.
